# Parameter reference

This page lists every asset supported on Vena with the full set of parameters that govern its behaviour in the pool. Each parameter has a plain-language explanation the first time it appears. Values below are set and adjusted by [SharpByte](https://www.sharpbyte.xyz/), Vena's curator.

| Asset | Can be Collateral | Borrowable | Max LTV | Liq. Threshold | Liq. Penalty | Reserve Factor | Supply Cap | Borrow Cap | E-Mode Category | Isolation Mode | Interest Rate Strategy | Prints-adjusted borrow rate |

## Parameter definitions

* **Can be Collateral**: whether a supplied balance of this asset can back a borrow. If no, the asset is supply-only.
* **Borrowable**: whether this asset can be borrowed from the pool.
* **Max LTV**: the maximum fraction of collateral value that can be borrowed against at the moment of borrow. A 70% LTV lets a user borrow up to $700 of value against $1,000 supplied.
* **Liquidation Threshold**: the fraction of collateral value at which a position becomes eligible for liquidation. Always above Max LTV, leaving a buffer between borrowing and liquidation.
* **Liquidation Penalty**: the discount a liquidator receives on collateral when closing an undercollateralised position — applied to the borrower's collateral, so it's shown as a "penalty" in the dapp. Compensates liquidators for closing risky positions quickly.
* **Reserve Factor**: the portion of borrow interest paid to the protocol treasury rather than to suppliers.
* **Supply Cap**: the maximum total amount of the asset that can be supplied to the pool.
* **Borrow Cap**: the maximum total amount of the asset that can be borrowed from the pool.
* **E-Mode Category**: the Efficiency Mode group this asset belongs to, if any. E-Mode raises Max LTV and Liquidation Threshold when both collateral and debt fall inside the same category (e.g., correlated stablecoins).
* **Isolation Mode**: if active, the asset can only be used as collateral on its own (no pairing with other collaterals) and only against a restricted list of borrowable stablecoins.
* **Interest Rate Strategy**: the rate curve that maps pool utilisation to borrow APY, with a kink at the utilisation target. Notation in the table is `base / slope₁ at kink / slope₂` — for example, `0% / 6% at 85% / 75%` means 0% base rate, rising linearly to 6% at 85% utilisation, then rising steeply with slope₂ 75% beyond the kink.
* **Prints-adjusted borrow rate**: the reputation-weighted adjustment applied to the borrower's rate based on Prints. Better Prints earn a tier with a lower effective rate than the baseline. Planned; activates after mainnet launch.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.vena.finance/asset-parameters/parameter-reference.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
